Is private garden waste removal cheaper than a council green bin?

For regular, small amounts of green waste, a council subscription (£50 to £80 per year) is cheapest. For one-off large clearances, post-landscaping cleanup, or any garden waste that does not fit in a fortnightly bin, private collection is faster and more practical. Many London councils also pause garden waste collection from November to March.
